Rebecca Timme, DO, wants to help you build in more moments to breathe. As a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist based in Petaluma, California, Dr. Timme is focused on meeting your loved ones where they’re at with a psychodynamic approach to psychiatry.

Dr. Timme’s goal is to offer a therapeutic environment where all children and teens – regardless of identity, culture, or lived experience – can feel safe exploring their emotions and building the skills they need to thrive. She approaches each patient and family with cultural humility and respect, recognizing that many factors, including identity, community, and background, shape mental health and resilience.

When kids and teens feel seen and heard in a safe space, they’re able to discuss more about what obstacles are in front of them and how the people in their lives can help. From this place, Dr. Timme helps to create a plan of care centered around helping your youth remove their obstacles and continue on their path in a happier, healthier way. Dr. Timme received her Doctor of Osteopathy from Touro University California in 2006. She then went on to the University of Kentucky for Triple Board Residency until 2011. As a Triple Board graduate, she trained and became board certified in general pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child/adolescent psychiatry, which gives her a broader perspective about growth – both physically and psychologically – across the lifespan.

With over 17 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Rebecca Timme’s skills and proficiency has served Mendocino, Sonoma, and Marin Counties to help create better, brighter lives for her clients. Her training and background equip her to expertly assist you discover mindfulness and mental wellness centered on your lifestyle.

When she’s not in the office with her clients, Dr. Timme is active outdoors with her family, enjoying camping, running, and hiking. She has also taken up violin as well as Taekwondo in her free time. Dr. Rebecca Timme lives in Petaluma with her husband, two sons, and dog.
