Timme & Associates provides a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation with children, adolescents, and young adults.
What should my goal be for therapy?
Families come in with different goals – to understand what is happening with their child, because something is different and their child doesn’t seem to be thriving in the way they used to, or some are looking to start their child on psychiatric medication.
Whatever your intention may be is fine. Dr. Timme will start the evaluation trying to understand your aim and keep that in mind throughout the evaluation.
What does the evaluation process look like?
The typical initial evaluation for a child or adolescent is approximately 3 hours as it involves 60-90 minutes with the youth, 30-45 minutes with the parents, and 30-45 minutes in treatment planning.
What services do you not offer?
Dr. Timme does NOT do:
- Custodial Evaluations
- Neuropsychological Testing
